About Us
Lavender on the San Juan is a family owned and operated lavender farm located within the San Juan River Valley in the town of Blanco, New Mexico. With towering cliffs on one side and the renowned San Juan River at the other, this enchanting 36 acre farm couldn't be nestled in a more captivating setting. We cultivate our lavender and extract the essential oils in our on-site distillery to make a growing variety of bath, body and aromatherapy products.
The Lavender on the San Juan property was purchased in 2016, with the intention to start a lavender farm and to start growing lavender the following spring in 2017. Two years later we expanded our growing area, and began our second lavender field across the bridge that connects both fields. To date, we have 7 different varieties of lavender, and roughly 6,000 lavender plants on the farm. Each year we invite the public to walk the fields and take pictures, explore our gift shop, as well as bring a lunch to enjoy under one of our shaded trees.
10 ml Therapeutic Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender oil is well known for its many uses and has been used for centuries for its countless benefits. Lavender's antiseptic and analgesic properties help to treat cuts, burns, bruises, stings and bites.
When used during the healing process, lavender oil can prevent scars, and although it can be used directly on your skin, it is best to dilute with a carrier oil so that your body doesn't develop a resistance to its therapeutic properties. Jojoba oil is an incredible carrier oil that can mimic the skin's barrier and is a perfect combination to use with lavender oil. You can find a vanilla infused jojoba with lavender oil roll on for sale in our shop, and use it to roll on areas that you want quick healing, pain relief, to induce a relaxed and calm state of mind, or even use as a sleep inducer.
Research has shown that lavender essential oil may be helpful in treating anxiety, insomnia, depression and restlessness. Some of lavender's most common uses are for relieving stress, headaches, sprains, toothaches, and sores. It also has anti fungal properties and can help fight against hair loss. Drop some in your diffuser and enjoy the freshly floral, and woody scent disbursed all throughout your home!
